From Homeless to Real Estate Investor: Why I Built This Company
My journey into real estate didn’t start with money, connections, or perfect timing. It started with struggle.
Years ago, I experienced homelessness and the uncertainty that comes with not knowing where your next opportunity will come from. That experience shaped the way I look at life, business, and financial security.
Through discipline, education, and persistence, I began investing and slowly built a portfolio across Prince George’s County. Over the last 16 years, I’ve worked as a landlord, investor, and agent. I’ve lived the ups and downs of rental ownership — from maintenance emergencies to maximizing rental income.
I noticed that while many companies manage properties, very few truly understand how investors think. That’s why I started OPM.
